The computer uses only the minimum amount necessary to win a lot
Imagine you enter a bid for 100 dollars
If the lot has no bids you will get the lot at the starting bid amount
If the lot has a previous bid of 50 dollars your bid would be adjusted to 52.50 dollars
Top bid is, at the maximum, one increment over the second highest bid
In the above case: If your bid was 51 dollars your bid would be 51 dollars
In case of tie bids, the lot goes to the earliest bidder
In the above case: If your bid was 50 dollars the first bidder would get the lot at 50 dollars
Automatic bid retraction is not supported
Auction-123 does not allow bid retraction as
- some sellers use this facility on other auction sites to determine maximum amounts placed by bidders, then retract their bids and relist the lot at a higher price.
- some bidders use this facility on other auction sites to place a high bid to discourage other bidders, then remove the bid and grab the lot at the opening bid under a different name.
Bid retraction are handled manually case by case. Just email if you made a mistake
